This Privacy Policy describes how Tithi ("the App"), developed by Ratikanta Patra ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information.

When location is enabled, the App requests "While Using" location access from iOS. We use your device's location solely to determine your approximate geographic area. Specifically:
This helps us understand where our user community is located (e.g. Odisha vs. diaspora). Panchanga calculations (sunrise, sunset, tithi timings) always use fixed Bhubaneswar coordinates — your personal location does not affect calendar data.
If you decline location, no location data is collected and the App functions identically.

Firebase services are operated by Google LLC, whose servers are located primarily in the United States. If you are located outside the US (including in India or the European Economic Area), your data may be transferred to and processed on Google's US servers.

When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Automatic data cleanup: The App automatically purges locally cached calendar and festival data that is more than two years old each time the App is launched. This ensures that your device does not accumulate unnecessary data over time. Deleting your account removes all local data immediately.

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision.
